To fully enjoy the traditional markets of the Bac Ha region, we recommend starting this tour on a Monday. This way, the days dedicated to Bac Ha will coincide with the weekend, allowing you to discover:
- the Can Cau / Bac Ha buffalo market, held on Saturdays,
- as well as the famous ethnic market of Bac Ha, held every Sunday morning, a true festival of colours and encounters with the local ethnic minorities.
This travel arrangement offers a more authentic and lively cultural immersion.
Possible beach extension:
This program can be completed with a 4-day / 3-night beach extension in Mui Ne, ideal for ending the journey gently, between fine sandy beaches, relaxation and a tropical atmosphere.

Itinerary
Welcome at the airport by our local guide. Transfer to the city. Check-in at the hotel and time to rest after your long flight (your room is available from 2:00 p.m.).

In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology, one of the richest and most fascinating museums in the country, offering a remarkable collection of objects, photographs and audiovisual documents dedicated to Vietnam’s different ethnic groups.
The visit continues outdoors with the discovery of reconstructed traditional houses, faithfully built by artisans from their regions of origin, offering a concrete immersion into the country’s cultural and architectural diversity.
Cyclo ride through the lively streets of the Old Quarter, bright with decorations and colourful stalls. Visit the Ngoc Son Temple and discover Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Restored Sword), in the heart of the city.
Option: Departure for a massage session, an excellent and unique wellness experience at a committed centre in Hanoi, combining massage techniques inspired by the ancestral knowledge of the Red Dao people with strong human values. Dao’s Care trains and employs visually impaired practitioners in an ethical and peaceful setting. You will enjoy a 30-minute herbal bath followed by a 60-minute massage.
